Sebagai wujud komitmen terhadap pelestarian lingkungan dan pembangunan berkelanjutan, PT Sumatra Prima Fibreboard melaksanakan program Tanggung Jawab Sosial Perusahaan (Corporate Social Responsibility/CSR) melalui kegiatan penyerahan bantuan bibit dan penanaman pohon di lingkungan sekolah dan instansi-instansi pemerintah. Dasar Hukum program CSR : merupakan kewajiban yang diatur dalam UU No. 40 Tahun 2007 tentang Perseroan Terbatas
Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kepedulian terhadap lingkungan sejak dini, menciptakan ruang hijau yang lebih asri, serta mendukung upaya pengurangan dampak perubahan iklim. Bibit pohon yang diserahkan terdiri dari berbagai jenis tanaman produktif dan peneduh yang diharapkan dapat tumbuh dan memberikan manfaat jangka panjang bagi lingkungan sekitar.
Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan secara kolaboratif bersama pihak sekolah, perwakilan instansi pemerintah, serta masyarakat setempat. Selain penyerahan bibit, kegiatan juga diisi dengan penanaman pohon secara simbolis sebagai bentuk komitmen bersama dalam menjaga dan merawat lingkungan.
Melalui program CSR ini, PT Sumatra Prima Fibreboardberharap dapat memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam mendukung terciptanya lingkungan yang hijau, sehat, dan berkelanjutan, sekaligus mempererat sinergi antara dunia usaha, dunia pendidikan, dan pemerintah dalam mewujudkan pembangunan yang berwawasan lingkungan.

- Penanaman bibit pohon kayu (trembesi, kemiri, tembesu) dan pohon buah (durian, rambutan, mangga) di sekitar Sungai Meranjat dan area SDN 14 Indralaya Utara.
- Program penanaman pohon tahunan yang berkelanjutan sejak 2020 sebagai bentuk komitmen terhadap kelestarian alam di Desa Palemraya dan Desa Pulau Semambu.
- Pembuatan pupuk daur ulang sebagai bentuk dukungan terhadap sektor pertanian.
Melalui kegiatan CSR, PT SPF bertujuan menjaga hubungan harmonis dengan masyarakat sekitar serta mendukung keberlanjutan lingkungan, terutama di wilayah Kecamatan Indralaya Utara dan sekitarnya.
